Description |
Three centuries of Jewish life in Bochum, presented in three parts. The first section illuminated the Jewish community’s contribution to the city’s economic, social, political and cultural life, and its destruction during the Holocaust. The second part focused on Jewish religious life, presenting objects and writings related the Torah, prayer, the Sabbath, holidays and life cycle events. The final section featured a photo series by photographer Dirk Vogel, illustrating Jewish life today. |
