Description

Hebrew manuscripts discovered in the bindings of Italian books. This common practice of re-using old parchment as binding material has resulted in the preservation of thousands of Hebrew manuscript fragments, and the designation of these volumes as the “Italian Genizah”. Introductory essay by Mauro Perani. Descriptive entries, including information on the books in which the pages were found. 56 items.
