Female Jewish costumes and accessories from communities around the world. Exhibits included both authentic pieces and garments reconstructed by students from the ICC school of fashion design (Marseille), on the basis of historical prints, paintings, photographs and postcards. Catalog text describes the exhibition project, the historical and cultural significance of clothing, and three of the 35 communities represented (Thessaloniki, Yemen and Algeria). Additional domestic and ceremonial objects represent the broader context in which these costumes were worn. No itemized listing.
