Archival material from the Jewish Community of Vienna (IKG), including finds from an enormous hoard of documents belonging to the IKG and re-discovered in the year 2000 in a vacant tenement apartment in Vienna. Officially founded in 1816, the archive contains material dating from the 17th–20th C. 8 essays relate to the archives themselves, the function of the archive as a place of remembrance, and the problem of organizing and classifying historical information. Majority of catalog dedicated to presentation of objects. Detailed descriptive entries. 144 items.
