Description

Contemporary Israeli Judaica objects that challenge their traditional models through modern artistic forms, new materials and, most significantly, expressions of their creators’ identities as Israelis and (predominantly non-religious) Jews of the 21st century. The objects’ designs reflect current issues in Israeli society such as the secularists’ relationship to Judaism, and the religious Jews’ identity as Israelis. Texts by Daniel Wajman and David Sperber. Circa 35 items.
