The major portion of “Sacred Places, Sacred Books”, a two-part exhibition that explored the commonalities and differences between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. “Sacred Places” focused on these religions’ shared phenomenon of pilgrimage, whether to Jerusalem, Rome, or Mecca, showing the magnetic force of attraction they have had on people throughout the ages. Introductory essay by Chris de Lauwer.
