Zakura-Abum, a merḫûm, 1 sent this letter to Zimri-Lim. In his letter, Zakura-Abum informed the king about the conflict in Zalmaqum, in particular Aduna-Addu’s victory at Hanzat. Additionally, Zakura-Abum reported on the šepâtum, which was an exchange between the mobile pastoralists (ḫanûm) and the settled populations in the upper Habur.
