This project was begun in 1967, while I was a graduate student at the Graduate Theological Union. In connection with the Coptic Gnostic Library Project at the Institute for Antiquity and Christianity, James M. Robinson suggested that I try to produce the parallels of Eug and SJC, using the only source then available to us, namely, the text of Till’s edition of BG and his footnotes, which contained the variants from SJC-BG found in Eug-III and SJC-III.
