Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Zanjānī

Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Zanjānī, the son of Mīrzā Naṣr Allāh, Shaykh al-Islām (1309–Jumādā II 1360/1892–July 1941), was a jurist, commentator on the Qurʾān, and important contemporary Iranian writer.

He was born in Zanjān into an educated family of experts in law. His father, Mīrzā Naṣr Allāh, had the position of Shaykh al-Islām in Zanjān (Mushār, 2/3323).
