Abū al-Yaqẓān, ʿĀmir b. Ḥafṣ b. Qādim (d. 190/806) was a genealogist and an erudite scholar of Arab traditions. According to al-Madāʾinī, his name was Suḥaym (Ibn al-Nadīm, 106–107). He was given various names, titles and kunyas (Ibn al-Nadīm, 106–107; al-Khaṭīb, 2/165). Al-Madāʾinī also mentions some of them (al-Ṭabarī, 4/404, 524; al-Balādhurī, 5/194; al-Khaṭīb, 2/161–165).
