Abū Maʿshar al-Sindī (d. Ramaḍān 170/March 787), was a traditionist, a narrator of historical events and one of the first narrators of the biography of the Prophet (sīra). There is little information about him. Some scattered and contradictory reports from early sources have entered later ones unaltered, and it is difficult to find any accurate information about him, however brief.
