Abū Ṭāhir Samarqandī, was the author of the work entitled Samariyya, and lived in the 13th/19th century. He called himself Abū Ṭāhir Khwājah Samarqandī b. Aqḍā al-Quḍāt Mullā Mīr Abū Saʿīd Khwājah, chief judge (qāḍī-yi kalān) of Samarqand (Samarqandī, Abū Ṭāhir, 14). Qāḍī-yi kalān was the Tajik equivalent of Aqḍā al-Quḍāt (Samarqandī, Abū Ṭāhir, vii).
