Āghāj Arī (modern Turkish ‘Ağaç eri’), a Turkic tribal confederation inhabiting the environs of Bihbahān, in the south-western Iranian province of Khūzistān. The constituent clans of the Āghāj Arī include the Afshār, Bigdilī, Tīlkū, Jāmah Buzurgī, Jughatāʾī, Dāwūdī, Shiʿrī, Qara Bāghī and Gushtīl (Fasāʾī, 2/270).
