Badakhshānī, Sayyid Suhrāb Walī (d. after 856/1452), the most eminent Nizārī Ismaili theologian and author from Badakhshān, in Central Asia, during the centuries immediately after the fall of Alamūt in 654/1256.

Not much is known with certainty about Badakhshānī’s life. He was born at the beginning of the 9th/15th century in the mountainous region of Badakhshān, probably into a non-Ismaili family.
