, farīd al-dīn muḥammad b. ibrāhīm . Persian mystical poet. The dates of his birth and death cannot be fixed with any certainty. According to Dawlats̲h̲āh, he was born in 513/1119 and the general belief is that he was killed by the Mongols in Nīs̲h̲āpūr in the year 627/1230. This would mean that he lived to the age of 114, which is improbable, and besides, Nīs̲h̲āpūr was conquered by the Mongols as early as 617/1220.
