Abstract

A participle (ptc.) is, as part of the Greek verbal system, characterized for diathesis and either for verbal aspect (pres., aor., or pf. ptc.), or for tense (fut. ptc.); at the same time, it shows nominal features, as it is characterized for case, number and gender.
