1. Definition

Headgear includes everything that is worn to cover the head, including garments that also cover the neck, the upper body, or the whole body, and also including the many kinds of ribbons and bands that hold the hair in place (cf. definition of Kopfdeckung in [5. 29]). Hair designs and hairstyles are not included (Hair).
