The Reichsdeputationshauptschluss (Principal Conclusion of the Imperial Delegation, but known in English as the Final Recess) of February 25, 1803, was the final imperial constitution of the Holy Roman Empire (of the German Nation). It marked the historical turning point between the French Revolution (1789), with its repercussions in Germany, and the fall of the Empire in 1806 (declaration of Emperor Francis II laying aside the German Imperial crown).
