The term right of assembly (German Selbstversammlungsrecht) denotes the right of a corporate body (Corporation) to assemble on its own initiative. It was and is little used in everyday language, and reference works like Zedlers Universallexikon (1743), the Rotteck-Welcker’sches Staatslexikon (1843, 31865), and Duden do not provide entries for it.
