“Book of the Dead” is how the east-Galician writer Soma (Salomo) Morgenstern (1890−1976) described his monumental work on the Shoah Die Blutsäule − Zeichen und Wunder am Sereth. He published the text in exile in the United States between 1946 and 1952.
