Born in 1952 in Jerusalem to a Moroccan family, Ḥayyim Bouzaglo graduated from the Tikhon shel Yad ha-Universiṭa High School and studied literature and theater at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Since 1987, he has established his career as a scriptwriter and director of award-winning Israeli and international films and television serials.
