Located in the Oued Noun (Mor. Ar.  Wād Nūn) region, the town of Goulimine (also Gouliminme) was founded before the fifteenth century near the ruins of Nūl Lamṭa, the eleventh-century center of the Almoravids (see Almoravids and Jews).
