Albert Mosseri, a physician, journalist, and Zionist, was a scion of two financially powerful Italian Sephardi families in Cairo, the Mosseri and theCattaoui (Qaṭṭāwī) families. Mosseri studied medicine in Paris, where he began writing for Zionist student publications and campaigned for Dreyfus.
