Cities throughout the State of Israel have streets named in honor of the Tunisian rabbi (Isaac) Ḥayy Ṭayyib (1743–1837). This phenomenon stems from the admiration and appreciation for Rabbi Ḥayy Ṭayyib among the Jews of Tunisia.
