An authentic ḥadīth of the Prophet Muḥammad states: “It is the duty of every Muslim male or female to seek knowledge and education (even if it entails traveling long distances).” Characteristically, Muslims have placed great importance on education that included religion, sciences, the arts, and other technical fields.
