Mental Health: Afghanistan

Afghanistan is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, but patriarchal country. Although Islamic ideology influences all spheres of Afghans' lives including their psychological health, cultural ignorance and distortion of Islam cause Afghan women much distress.
