The depiction of Muslim women in European films brings together a variety of perspectives on the complex and multi-layered identities and perceptions of first- and second/third-generation immigrant women with Muslim family backgrounds residing in Western Europe as well as images of women living in Muslim communities and countries within or bordering Europe, such as Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey.
