Reproductive health includes all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth as well as ailments of the reproductive system. Few data are available in Sub-Saharan Africa comparing individuals by religion in the same society, but it is possible to compare predominantly Muslim countries (Somalia, Mauritania, Senegal, Niger, Guinea, Mali, Sudan, Chad, and Burkina Faso) with the rest of the region and Muslim northern Nigeria with the country's more religiously mixed south.
