The Arabic term for sexual harassment, al-taḥarrush al-jinsī, is rarely used expressly in the Sudanese vocabulary about sexual assault and/or misconduct. Even in law, where we can find a definition of the concept, the exact words are not used. The words afaʿāl fāḥisha, meaning lewd, obscene, and indecent acts are used instead.
