A new sexual culture is emerging among Iranian youth which may affect the future course of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Using ethnographic fieldwork conducted by the author throughout 2004 with 50 urban, middle- and upper-class women between the ages of 19 and 40, this entry examines the erotic attitudes and sexual practices of women in contemporary Iran.
