Fatayat-NU is an organization of young female Muslims, a wing of the biggest Islamic organization in Indonesia, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Fatayat was established in 1950 in Surabaya by the decree of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama No. 574/U/Feb/1950 and was announced publicly in the same year in Jakarta.
