[1274cc] On Wednesday, the ninth of Muharram/10 January 1911, His Majesty set off for winter quarters in Jalalabad with all his servants and entourage. He ordered Prince Hayat Allah Khan, the high governor of Qataghan and Badakhshan, his second son, whom he had recalled to Court, to serve as his deputy and remain in Kabul. The rest of the royal family with all the women of their harems went to Jalalabad. [1275]
