[1247c] On Sunday, the first of Shawwal/16 October 1909, the rituals celebrating the Day of Breaking the Fast such as the prayer, firing a gun salute, distributing food and sweets were performed with utter merriment. All the invitees of Court took pleasure in the festivities and were honored.

Elsewhere during these events, officials of the Russian government, because of the ruin and destruction of border pillars, planted flags 1,000 gaz inside the territory of Afghanistan …
