Notes to Volume 3, Conclusion and Volume 4, Part 1
(3,689 words)

Here the editor has inserted an “ī” after the “n,” which does not appear in the manuscript. However, the manuscript (p. 7, line 15) clearly has the tashdīd sign, which would double the letter “kāf/gāf,” and would then seem to require another vowel, i.e. “Dārūn-k-kah.”

The print edition (p. 308, line 20) inserts an extraneous “wa” (“and”). See ms. (tatimmah), p. 13, line 23.

The print version (p. 308, line, 25) transposed the name into “Ahmad Khan Jan.” See ms. (tatimmah) p. 14, line 2.

The print edition (p. 313, line 26) misspells “Sayr” as “Shayr.” See ms. (tatimmah) p. 18, line 1.
