Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is an independent, sovereign, democratic state within the Commonwealth. Its relationship with the United Kingdom as an Associated State (see report infra p. U – 116 ss.) was terminated as from 27 Oct. 19792 on its attainment of independence.3
