Biography:

According to Athenaeus1 (11, 493c-494b), the grammarian2 Sosibius lived at the court of Ptolemy II Philadelphus3 (285-246 BCE) and was a skilled solver of Homeric4 προβλήματα (hence his nickname ὁ λυτικός).
