(Baron; Jun 26, 1828 Dorpat – Nov 23, 1881, Dorpat), Lutheran denominational church historian. He studied chiefly in Dorpat (influenced by Friedrich Adolf Philippi) and Erlangen, with J.C.K. v. Hofmann, among others. He was ordinarius in Dorpat from 1859. Engelhardt's work, Das Christenthum Justins des Märtyrers.
