(Oct 11, 1876, Minden, Westphalia – Nov 1, 1971, Oberstdorf) was a prominent representative of the literary Renouveau catholique (“Catholic Revival”). Her poetic oeuvre envisages the divine order of the world as being configured under the sway of love for Christ and his cross, and expresses the hope for a renewal of Christian-Western humanity. Le Fort was a student of E. Troeltsch, whose “doctrine of faith” she published posthumously in 1925.
