The Missionswerk der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche in Bayern (Mission Agency of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, MWB), founded in 1972, has roots going back to various initiatives of the Neuendettelsau pastor W. Löhe (1808–1872).
