I. Pesiqta Rabbati

The name Pesiqta, Aramaic for “section” or “chapter,” is used for two homiletic Midrashim, the Pesiqta Rabbati (Pesiq. Rab.) and the Pesiqta deRab Kahana (Pesiq. Rab Kah.; see II below).
