Religious Feeling

Feeling can be interpreted as the experience of one’s condition in knowing and willing, or as a fundamentally unified act of the person (in the religious act). But since Tetens and Kant, it has also been interpreted as a third, function, not reducible to cognition and striving. This last view has had supporters in neo-scholasticism (e.g., J. Fröbes, T.
