§ 991. ʿAlī b. Maḥmūd al-Kirmānī called S̲h̲ihāb i Ḥakīm was in the service of Maḥmūd-S̲h̲āh Sulṭān K̲h̲aljī of Mālwah (reigned 29 S̲h̲awwāl 839/16 May 1436–19 D̲h̲ū ’l-Qaʿdah 873/31 May 1469), after whose death he wrote at the command of his son and successor Sulṭān G̲h̲iyāth al-Dīn (reigned 873/1469–906/1500) his
- Maʾāt̲h̲ir i Maḥmūd-S̲h̲āhī, a flowery history of Maḥmūd-S̲h̲āh with a brief account of his predecessors, especially Sulṭān Hūs̲h̲ang and Muḥammad-S̲h̲āh (G̲h̲aznī K̲h̲ān): Berlin 511 (a seal dated 1182/1768–9), Browne Suppt. 249 (ah 1199/1785. King’s 67), Bodleian 270 (slightly defective at beginning. N.d.).
§ 992. Of unknown authorship is
- (Tārīk̲h̲ i Nāṣir-S̲h̲āhī), a turgid and almost dateless “history” of Nāṣir al-Dīn ʿAbd al-Qādir S̲h̲āh b. G̲h̲iyāt̲h̲ S̲h̲āh b. Maḥmūd S̲h̲āh K̲h̲aljī (reigned ah 906/1500–916/1510): Rieu iii 968a (breaks off in first year of the reign, ah 1265/1849), 1040b (extract only. Circ. ad 1850), i.o. 4032 (ad 1879).
§ 993. A Tārīk̲h̲ i Mālwā by Karam-ʿAlī is mentioned by C.E. Luard as one of the authorities used by him in compiling the Mālwā Gazetteer (Bombay 1908), but no copies of this work seem to be recorded in any published catalogue.
