§ 857. Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. ʿAlī Ibn Waḥs̲h̲īyah, the author, or alleged author, of various works on occult sciences, flourished in the third/ninth century (see Ency. Isl. new ed. under Ibn Waḥs̲h̲īya, Brockelmann i p. 242, Sptbd. i p. 430).

§ 858. Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥusain b. ʿAbd Allāh Ibn Sīnā died in 428/ 1037. (see pl. ii § 4).

Kunūz al-muʿazzimīn (corruptly [?] Kunūz al-mug̲h̲ramīn), is concerned with incantations and talismans. See Ḥ. K̲h̲. v p. 259, where the work, presumably in Arabic (cf. Brockelmann Sptbd. i p. 828 (106)), is described as in seven faṣls.

In eleven faṣls), Fātiḥ 5371 (3), Bodleian iii 2749 (5) (beg. Ḥ. u sp. u st. mar k̲h̲. rā … a. b. c̲h̲. g. kih c̲h̲ūn jamāʿatī az muḥibbān. Divided according to the preface into qauls and faṣls, of which this ms. contains Qaul i in twelve faṣls).
§ 859. Fak̲h̲r al-Dīn M. b. ʿUmar al-Rāzī died in 606/1209 (see pl. ii §§ 87, 589, 805).
