The two articles under this heading are dedicated only to the Hebrew, Greek, and Latin canons of the Bible and engage only with the Jewish Bible and the Christian Old Testament. The New Testament and its deuterocanonical texts are beyond the scope of thb 1. The canonical histories of secondary biblical translations, such as Ethiopic or Arabic as well as the deuterocanonical books of the Christian Old Testament will be addressed in ii.1.1.
