13.1.1 Extant Witnesses

The oldest manuscripts of Ruth derive from the late Second Temple period are 2QRutha,1 and 4QRutha,2 both dated to the first century b.c.e. From the first century c.e., there are 2QRuthb (2Q17; Baillet, *djdiii, 71–74) and 4QRuthb (4Q105; Ulrich and Murphy, *djdxvi, 187–89).3 However, all Ruth manuscripts from Qumran are fragmentary (13.2.1).
