2.4.1.5.1 Background

It is generally accepted that Deuteronomy, along with the other books of the Pentateuch, was translated into Greek in Alexandria in the first half of the third century b.c.e.,1 although it is likely that Deuteronomy was translated after Genesis and Exodus.2
