Jubilees goes by several names in the languages in which it has been transmitted. In Christian Greek sources, the book has been known as “the Little Genesis” (ἡ Λεπτὴ Γένεσις),¹ the “Details of Genesis,”² “Jubilees”³ or, by some, as “Apocalypse of Moses.”⁴ In Syriac (8.4), it is once referred to as “the book of the Hebrews that is called Jubilees (ܝܘܒܝܠܝܐ).”⁵ In Gəʿəz (Ethiopic; 8.6) the book is called either “Divi…
