ABSTRACT

Alva Myrdal, Swedish Minister of Disarmament, dedicates her speech on 9th August 1971 in front of The Hague Academy of International Law to the preservation of oceans for peaceful purposes. She wishes that the “new province” of a seabed is preserved for the benefit of all and for peaceful purposes and does not become a source of conflicts.
