In 1558, or more specifically for 1558, Plantin published an ‘Almanach en francoys’ and an ‘Almanach en flameng [in Dutch]’ (besides an ‘Almanach’ of Nostradamus: cf. no. 1754). He could note in January 1558 (Arch. 35, fol. 9vo) ‘A diverses foys en tout ce moys vendu…3,000 Almanachs tant en francoys qu’en flameng’ (including very likely the Almanachs of Nostradamus).
