[German source] Al Mina is the name given to an ancient site in the Turkish province of Hatay and means ‘the harbour’. It lies 1.8 km inland, around 250 m from the northern bank of the Orontes/Arantu, attains a maximum altitude of 4 m and occupies approximately 1.6 ha, although it has suffered considerable losses from agriculture and the migration of the river bed [10312]. Its ancient name is unknown, but it may have been the Ahtaa mentioned in an inscription of Tiglath-Pileser III (745–727) as a

Ufer des Orontes/Arantu entfernt, und erreicht eine Höhe von max. 4 m bei einer Ausdehnung von ca. 1,6 ha; Letztere hat stark unter der Landwirtschaft und der Verschiebung des Flussbettes gelitten [10312].
